Abhay Prasad

Abhay is a young and aspiring furniture designer and maker who couples minimalistic and clean design aesthetics with his Indian heritage to create his range of objects. After graduating with his honors (Industrial Design) in 2019, he took time off to explore the materiality of wood and experimenting with different joinery. He researched and toyed with the idea of creating objects that were amalgamation and explored the connotation and purpose behind materials Soon after he launched his own practice and now splits his time between working on custom products and working on his own product line.

Jord is a small and independently-run furniture design and manufacturing company based in Melbourne. We specialize in hand-made wood products and custom projects. We use only recycled or sustainably sourced local woods. We believe in provide in producing a high quality product and keep all manufacturing in house for better quality control. All are products are made to order and is given exclusive attention during the making of it.

We believe in complete transparency with the client and so try to keep our clients updated through every stage of the manufacturing process when making their project. Our shipping is handled by third parties and will be additional to the quotes provided for all custom projects.
